JCJ Architecture provided comprehensive planning services to guide future growth and transformation of the beautiful Black Mesa Golf Club near Santa Fe, NM, into a premier southwest destination resort. This very special site demanded a high level of design sensitivity; the entire project was designed as an eco-resort with concentration on natural enhancements and minimal impact on the environment.

The concept for development of this 180-unit, four-plus diamond resort included a 112-room boutique hotel with dedicated concierge and 24-hour room service. The hotel included private cottages with foursome parlor suites, each featuring a full bar and kitchen, spacious dining and entertainment area, large outdoor patio, fire pit and oversized jacuzzi.

A 100-seat signature restaurant, with dedicated outdoor seating would compliment the hotel along with a high-end, European-style casino with up to 500 slot machines, 10 table games and a 75-seat cigar and martini lounge. Included in the plan is a state-of-the art 10,000 square foot spa and fitness area with outdoor treatment rooms and an indoor/outdoor pool and swim-up bar. The master plan incorporates a clubhouse expansion and a timeshare development.
