Choctaw Landing

Located near Broken Bow Lake and the Ouachita National Forest, Choctaw Landing is a fully integrated entertainment resort that unites hospitality, gaming, dining, recreation and cultural experiences in the heart of Hochatown, Oklahoma. JCJ provided master planning, architecture and interior design services, creating a destination that responds to the beauty and distinctive character of the natural setting.

Envisioned as a modern lodge retreat, the resort balances a relaxed, regional character with the energy of a contemporary resort destination. Wood, stone, black steel, and refined contemporary elements establish a nature-inspired palette, while expansive views and outdoor gathering spaces connect guests to the surrounding landscape. The resort includes 100 guest rooms and suites, a 600-slot gaming floor, table games, dining and bar venues, meeting spaces, a resort pool, and an outdoor amphitheater.

Choctaw culture is woven throughout the experience through original artwork, architectural elements, and curated installations. More than 20 Choctaw artists contributed work to the resort, including pieces displayed throughout public spaces, exterior sculptures, and guest rooms. The result is an immersive expression of Choctaw history, artistry, and connection to place.

Extending beyond the resort itself, the adjacent 12,000-square-foot Mercantile provides dining, retail, grocery, and other conveniences for resort guests and visitors to the Hochatown community. Together, Choctaw Landing and the Mercantile create a destination rooted in place, culture, and connection.
