Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks

Located in Arizona’s rapidly growing West Valley, Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks at San Lucy is a 184,000-square-foot gaming and entertainment destination designed by JCJ Architecture for the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise. Opened in December 2024, the $450 million property features 900 slot machines, table games, poker, a sportsbook, retail, dining and entertainment.

The design draws inspiration from the Tohono O’odham Nation and the distinctive ecology of Southern Arizona. A butterfly-inspired arrival canopy establishes the experience, while cultural artifacts, artwork and references to the desert landscape are thoughtfully integrated throughout the property. Four distinct gaming environments take inspiration from native butterfly species, creating varied experiences within a cohesive design.

Throughout the property, subtle expressions of Tohono O’odham culture and people connect the architecture and design to the community’s heritage. Meaningful elements, including the Veterans Honor Wall, a dynamic tribal seal, and butterfly symbolism, are thoughtfully integrated throughout the guest experience.

A central architectural “spine” organizes the casino and provides intuitive connections between gaming, dining, retail and entertainment. At its heart, the Lightning Lounge serves as a dramatic focal point, while dynamic lighting, custom chandeliers and a floor-to-ceiling crystal installation create an immersive environment that responds to jackpots, celebrations and special events.
