JCJ Architecture served as AOR, collaborating closely with the Rockwell Group design team, to bring the distinctive, world-class TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge to Mohegan Sun.
TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge offers a unique culinary experience within a highly sophisticated and dramatic setting. The new restaurant at Mohegan Sun is located off the Sky Tower Hotel Lobby and features several notable elements that Guests have come to expect from the iconic brand, including a 16-foot-tall Quan Yin statue anchoring the main dining room.
The design is sophisticated and elaborate, without overpowering the guest experience. The space responds to the flexible programming that a TAO destination demands with multiple dining areas including a luxurious 1,600 sf front lounge area, a 3,800 sf main dining area, a full-service sushi bar and counter, 2 private dining areas at 700 sf each, a DJ booth, and artfully-hidden television screens for use as needed.
