Renowned for its artistic excellence, innovation and community engagement, the Playhouse continues to build upon a legacy that has shaped American theater by inspiring new generations of performers and audiences.
JCJ is providing architectural design and master planning services for the redevelopment of the Playhouse, creating a facility that supports its artistic mission and enhances the experience for performers, staff, patrons and the broader community. The project includes a new theater, expanded support spaces, executive offices, an event venue for Playhouse and community use, and comprehensive site improvements that strengthen accessibility, circulation and the arrival experience.
Designed to honor the Playhouse’s enduring legacy, the facility will meet the needs of a contemporary performing arts organization. The redevelopment will create a welcoming, flexible and highly functional environment that will support artistic excellence and community engagement for decades to come.
