Scott P. Celella, CSI, LEED AP has served as President of JCJ since 2025 after nearly two decades as Chief Operating Officer. As President, he provides strategic leadership for the firm while advancing a collaborative culture focused on exceptional client service and grounded in design excellence. Recognized as a collaborative and pragmatic leader, Scott is known for building consensus, guiding teams and helping clients navigate complex projects with clarity and confidence.

Scott joined JCJ in 1995 and led the firm’s Construction Administration Group. His deep understanding of construction documentation, disciplined approach to project delivery and ability to simplify complex challenges while safeguarding design intent established him as a trusted leader across the practice. Those qualities led to his appointment as Director of Operations in 2002 and Chief Operating Officer in 2005, positions in which he helped shape many of the systems, processes and relationships that continue to define the firm’s practice today.

Throughout his career, Scott has provided leadership across gaming, education, civic and community markets, with particular expertise serving Tribal Nations. Over the past two decades, he has been instrumental in advancing JCJ’s work in Indian Country, leading projects that support economic self-determination while preserving culture and promoting community wellness. Equally comfortable discussing design vision and construction execution, Scott works closely with clients, contractors and project teams to build trust, navigate complexity and deliver projects that reflect shared goals and enduring value.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities at JCJ, Scott has contributed to the architecture, engineering and construction profession through the Construction Specifications Institute, serving as Certification Chair, Chapter President and Regional Director. He has also supported emerging professionals through the ACE Mentor Program, taught as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hartford and serves as a Trustee of the New Britain Museum of American Art.
