back to people

Barry Goldstein, AIA serves as Chief Operating Officer of JCJ, where he works across offices, regions and markets to strengthen the firm’s operations, project delivery, talent development and quality initiatives. He partners with firm leadership to align people, process and resources in support of exceptional client service, design excellence and long-term organizational success. Recognized as a collaborative and people-focused leader, Barry builds consensus, develops future leaders and fosters a culture of shared responsibility that empowers employee-owners to succeed.

Barry brings more than four decades of experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams. His career has spanned residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, faith-based, manufacturing and corporate work, giving him a broad perspective on how thoughtful planning, effective communication and disciplined project delivery contribute to successful outcomes. That experience informs his leadership today, where he works to strengthen the systems, relationships and culture that enable both people and projects to thrive.

Before joining JCJ in 2022, Barry owned and operated his own architectural practice in Phoenix and later expanded his leadership across Oklahoma, experiences that shaped his practical understanding of balancing client goals, business objectives and design excellence. Today, he works closely with project teams and firm leaders to strengthen collaboration, mentor emerging leaders and advance a culture of operational excellence across the practice.
