Located between East Hampton and Bridgehampton on Long Island’s East End, The Sagaponack is a contemporary coastal retreat transformed from the former Wainscott Inn. JCJ Architecture led the interior design for the $4 million renovation, updating all 30 guest rooms, the lobby, and indoor and outdoor public spaces while introducing new resort-style amenities.
Rooted in the property’s local history and family-friendly character, the design combines earthy tones, rich wood, timeless metal accents, and textiles inspired by the surrounding landscape. The hotel’s three distinct accommodations, Main Inn rooms, bungalows, and studios, offer a relaxed, residential feel tailored to both short- and extended stays.
Nine bungalow rooms feature separate living areas, kitchenettes, and private outdoor spaces, while the studio rooms offer flexible layouts with wet bars, multifunctional furnishings, and secluded outdoor areas. Throughout the property, thoughtful details and hospitality-grade finishes create a welcoming seaside retreat that feels both elevated and comfortably at home.
