JCJ Architecture was retained to develop a phased master plan for this K-8 Catholic school in order to create learning communities, add classroom space, upgrade athletic facilities and solve circulation challenges. Over a six month period, JCJ’s team worked in close collaboration with the school board and community to develop a comprehensive plan with three top priorities: Instructional Space: Art, Foreign Language, 7-8th Grade Mathematics, Music, PreK, Media Center, Computer Lab Gymnasium: Stage, Physical Education Storage; Administrative Space: Principal’s Office, Conference and a Nurse's office.

The phased plan reduces cost by minimizing building and disruption to the school environment. Phase 1 allowed for a future gymnasium addition and re-purposed existing space in the lower level of the church. Phase 2 maximized the building footprint within setbacks, created a coherent circulation loop, developed three small learning communities and included a gymnasium/auditorium addition.
