The Durant Public Safety Center is a component of the Choctaw Tribal Campus and is located on a site adjacent to the Facilities and Maintenance building. The layout of the public safety facility is simple and efficient, with exterior finishes that create a cohesive aesthetic across the Choctaw Tribal campus.
A reception area at the entry of the building provides an immediate point of contact for visitors. Office spaces are provided for the Executive Director, Law Enforcement Director, Security Director, and the Tribal Police Supervisor, as well as Officer cubicles and Training Officer spaces.
A suite specifially for dispatch center includes offices and break areas. Support spaces in this facility include a flexible conference/training room, break room, workout and locker rooms. There are dedicated spaces for interviews, holding, equipment, evidence, fingerprinting, and file storage. A narcotics department includes spaces for officers and processing and a 3-bay garage features a drive-through sally port, a bay for an armored truck, and ATV storage. The sites includes parking for employees and visitors, a dog run, and an additional 8-bay carport for public safety vehicles.
