Robert J. Gdowski, AIA is a Principal and Director of Hospitality Design at JCJ. Over a career spent largely in Las Vegas and Asia, Bob has designed for many of the industry’s leading gaming, hospitality and resort operators, including MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, Bally’s Corporation, Four Seasons, Marriott, Hilton and Atlantis. His practice spans luxury resort development, integrated gaming destinations and mixed-use hospitality, alongside an extensive body of work partnering with Native nations on gaming, hospitality, cultural and economic development initiatives, including projects for the Jamul Indian Village, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Pechanga Band of Indians, Morongo Band of Mission Indians and the Tohono O’odham Nation.

Bob’s design approach centers on a simple premise: architecture is a measurable driver of commercial performance, not just an aesthetic layer applied on top of it. He translates ambitious development strategies into plans, and plans into guest experiences built to perform financially and endure creatively over the long term. Focused on the intersection of identity, experience and economics, his work seeks to strengthen brand, deepen engagement and create lasting value for owners, operators and communities. That perspective has made him a recurring voice in gaming industry publications and a frequent presenter at national conferences.

Bob has presented at numerous hospitality design and development conferences, including the Global Gaming Expo, the Indian Gaming Association National Conference and the California Nations Indian Gaming Association Conference. He has also contributed thought leadership on gaming, hospitality and sovereign development through industry publications including Urban Land, Global Gaming Business and Gaming & Leisure. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Planning from the University of Southern California and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
