Mary Faria, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP is a Principal, Managing Director and Senior Project Architect / Manager at JCJ. She works across offices, regions and markets to strengthen project delivery, align resources and support teams throughout the life of a project. Drawing on decades of operational leadership and hands-on project design and management experience, Mary is recognized for her thoughtful approach, organizational discipline and unwavering commitment to client service. She believes successful projects are built through collaboration, accountability and supporting people with the resources and guidance they need to succeed.
Before joining JCJ in 2023, Mary spent more than 33 years with Group One Partners, including over two decades as an Owner/Principal and head of operations. During that time, she helped lead one of New England’s most respected hospitality design practices, guiding project delivery, design, mentoring staff and supporting the firm’s long-term growth. That experience gave her a practical understanding of the operational systems, relationships and leadership required to consistently deliver complex hospitality projects.
Working closely with project teams and firm leadership, Mary helps align resources, maintain project momentum and strengthen communication across the practice. Known for her calm, pragmatic leadership style and genuine investment in the success of others, she believes the strongest organizations are built by empowering people, fostering accountability and working together toward shared goals.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College after attending fine arts foundational studies and is active in numerous professional organizations, including the Boston Society of Architects, the International Code Council, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and NEWH, the Hospitality Industry Network.
