The Pennyweight Hotel Named 2025 IIDA New England Best Hospitality Hotel Lodging Award Winner

JCJ Architecture is proud to announce that The Pennyweight Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, has been recognized with the 2025 IIDA New England Best Hospitality Hotel Lodging Award.

Located in Boston’s West End, The Pennyweight Hotel recently underwent a rebrand and design refresh that reimagined the property as a vibrant destination rooted in the character of the city. The design balances contemporary urban sophistication with a sense of warmth and local identity, creating spaces that feel both distinctly Boston and uniquely Pennyweight.

Drawing inspiration from the hotel’s name and address, the design incorporates subtle penny-inspired details throughout the interiors. Warm copper tones, rich greens, layered textures, and carefully selected finishes create a cohesive palette that references the city’s history while embracing its evolving spirit.

The result is a welcoming, contemporary hotel experience designed around connection, creativity, and community, bringing a renewed energy to Boston’s West End.
