James T. Murphy, Esq., AIA, CSI, CCCA, LEED AP is an accomplished professional who brings his background in project delivery and construction law to the management of complex projects and teams. Following his graduation from Tulane University with a Master of Architecture, Jim worked at JCJ as a draftsperson while he obtained his J.D. After departing the firm to practice construction law, Jim rejoined JCJ to take up the dual roles of Senior Project Manager and Director of Risk Management. In the role as Senior Project Manager, Jim has guided large-scale hospitality, gaming and commercial projects through the process of pre-design, design, documentation and construction administration. As Director of Risk Management, Jim advises the firm on a range of issues related to contract negotiation, consultant agreements, insurance and liability issues. A warm and approachable professional, Jim’s insights and keen understanding of the AEC industry come from his unique background and his acknowledged status as an expert in the areas of documentation, management, contracts and project delivery.
Jim is a graduate of Tulane and Western New England College. He has been certified by the Construction Specifications Institute as a Construction Contract Administrator and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
