JCJ Architecture appoints Ken Rhyne as Design Principal.

JCJ Architecture today announced the addition of Design Principal Kenneth E. Rhyne, who will oversee significant gaming, hotel, resort, library and cultural center projects as part of the firm’s continued growth and commitment to existing markets. He will also expand the firm’s pursuits into new project types, including mixed use and museums.

“Ken brings a wealth of knowledge, a keen design sensitivity and a dynamic personality to the firm,” said Peter Stevens, President of JCJ Architecture. “With more than 40 years of experience in leading conceptual development of the built environment and designing unique interior environments, Ken’s vast expertise will continue to strengthen JCJ’s commitment to clients and sensitivity to the needs of end users.”

A leader in both the Native American and minority business community, Rhyne is a member of the Tuscarora Indian Nation, an Allied member of the American Institute of Architects and a member of the American Indian Council of Architects and Engineers. His published works and notable projects are nationally recognized – including his contribution to the Smithsonian Institution’s award-winning National Museum of the American Indian Cultural Resources Center (Suitland, Maryland) and the Kampen Eagle Wing Center (Lafayette, Indiana).

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to join the team at JCJ, a firm I have admired for many years,” says Rhyne. “JCJ already has an established reputation of excellence, and together we will continue to reach for the stars and deliver innovative design solutions across our hospitality, civic and Native American practices.”
