The Architect that JCJ seeks will have 8+ years of experience in the markets noted above.

JCJ Architecture is seeking a hands-on, collaborative, Architect II with the skills and experience to work with our Design Leads and Project Managers to lead a team through the design and documentation process, from Schematic Design through Construction Administration services. 8+ years of experience and increasing responsibility with medium to large scope projects is assumed.

Professional Registration - required

The position requires:
Excellent technical skills with demonstrated design sensibility. Ability to present design and technical ideas
to clients, consultants and peers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in both interior and exterior detailing
Familiarity with interpreting accessibility guidelines, building codes, zoning ordinances and permitting
Experience in organizing and coordinating the work of engineering and specialty consultants
Experience in assembling and editing technical specifications
Hands-on experience, as well as leading a team, to assemble construction documents in Revit
Knowledge of construction sequencing
Experience with quality review of drawings and specs
Experience with construction administration
Professional degree (BArch or March)

Software Proficiency
Revit v. 2017 or above - required
AutoCAD v. 2017 or above
MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience with 3D software is preferred

Additional Preferred Experience
Experience with K-12 and/or Higher Education projects
