Having determined that the growth and functionality of the Department had exceeded it’s potential for further addition to the current facility, JCJ’s site selection, programming, and design of a new 28,000 square foot police facility meets the needs of this seaside town’s law enforcement community for years to come. A new site was selected offering a central location with ideal access to all areas of the town, as well as meeting other site criteria including availability of adjacent parking, allowance for future expansion, program flexibility, and a potential new emergency operations center, ease of building security and hardening, and available water and sewer.

The new building is located on approximately three acres with both service parking for operational vehicles and staff, as well as separate visitor parking.

The building consists of two stories with a partial basement and is designed to allow for future expansion. Interior space accommodations meet the needs of all police functions in an efficient, secure manner along with separate, accessible areas for emergency operations, training, and related services. The building was designed to take into account the environmental impact of being close to an ocean climate.
