Responsible for managing the "Business of Architecture," Peter Stevens focuses on the Firm's overall financial strength and growth, including development of new business, project performance, ownership transition, and merger and acquisition strategies. With a unique professional background combining 34 years of experience in predesign planning, business development, and finance, Peter is one of only a handful of non-architects in the country to hold a similar leadership position in a major architectural practice. Peter's project development and consensus-building skills have led to public endorsement of large governmental projects as well as the financing of large-scale hospitality, entertainment, and economic redevelopment projects. He is a nationally recognized expert on alternative innovative and tax incremental financing (TIF) strategies for major economic redevelopment projects. Peter received his Bachelor’s degree from Bates College and a Masters degree from SUNY Albany; he has been with JCJ since 1988.
