The future of architecture is rapidly changing, full of many new and innovative surprises. In the next five years, architects are predicting that buildings won't be as flashy, but they'll be far more suited for everyday use. To get more insight on the upcoming trends in architecture, Fast Company asked some of the world’s most innovative companies to look give their opinions on the ways that the built environment will evolve. They found that the top five newest trends would include a more collaborative approach to architecture, a more subtle presence of Chinese architecture, the introduction of more natural building materials such as wood and clay, an elimination of the divide between private and public spaces, as well as the fade-out of starchitecture.
